Door contact switch

Hi all,

I have realised a week ago my drivers door contact switch has died, if I close or open the door, the computer doesn't say a word, it thinks the door is closed.
I have tried the other doors, and they are working fine, only the drivers door. I can still close and open it, but the car can't see if its opened or closed, it thinks its closed.

It is not a big thing, but last time I forgot to turn off the ligths, and left on for a half an hour, so I don't want to risk it to leave them on for a longer time.
So I found a switch on ebay and I got it now.

How can I replace it? Do I need to remove the trim inside? Or just need to do it from outside somehow?

It only clips in so lever it out and push new one in,donââ,¬â,,¢t matter if tags break levering out as you are changing anyway

Yeah remove the rubber cover then you'll see the two tangs that hold it in place which you depress to pop it out. The tricky bit is to make sure once you unplug the connector it doesn't fall back inside the B pillar as the wiring is tight!! If it falls back in the yes, you'll have to remove the inner trim!
