Brake Pad replacement

Along with the drive shaft, i managed to change the front brake pads ok, I even remembers how the retaining clip goes on (this weekend) on the drive today only 6 miles or so, I noticed that both sides are only engaging the disc on the tip 50% only (you can still see the surface rust on the lower half) .... any pointers or shall I wait a while for bedding in. 

That's normal after new pads they just need time to bed in,allow yourself greater stopping distance  for next 100 miles or so as they are not going to perform 100% until bed in.
