 >:( hello my faithful galaxy has decided not to have a 6 gear
all was well until 6th got progresivley more difficult to engage all the other gear are fine just 6  any ideas would be most welcome   dave c

Will in go into 6th with the engine off?

If it can be moved into gear with the engine off, then its likely a clutch issue. If it can't be then its more likely a linkage issue.

Are the other gears including reverse all ok? The mechanism on top of the box can seize up.

still strugling with lost 6 th all rest are fine it will go in at a stand  there is a slight slip when in 5 if asked to pull hard  why does it only affect 6th  re[place clutch and flywheel 20,000 miles ago   it will go into 6th  but only with a crash an when it feels like it  many thanks one very ticked off galaxy owner4    >:( :'(

Synchro knackered by sound of it, have you tried holding clutch down longer going 5th to 6th to allow gearbox more time to slow down see if it still happens?

Sounds like a rebuild or replacement is needed unfortunately.
