After looking and nearly giving up, I've found a Gal that's running sweet and a pleasure to drive. The guy who I bought from is an ex aircraft mechanic, he had maintained for 10 years, and a full service history before. Its had a new luk clutch kit with flywheel 10k ago. All for the same cost as a luk clutch kit.

An absolute gentleman, in my opinion rare this day and age, not greedy and let it go for half what it's worth. Now my faith in humanity is restored, after all the grief my other car has given me, I now realize what a decent Galaxy should drive like.

It needs an exhaust of which I have a fairly new one, and a couple of pads, but compared to the nightmare of electrical malfunctions and huge list  of faults with the other one i'm looking forward to doing the bits it needs now.

Happy man.  :)

As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never face the wrong way.

Nice one sounds like you have a decent gal.
You going to keep old one for parts or get rid of it?

I'm going to keep it for parts, as I said I need the exhaust off it, and may put the fog lights on too. I'm going to use the swivel seats in a winter camper/day van project. Any other bits you reckon will be handy?

You sound so happy... it is always heart warming to see other people happy :)
I drive a Seat Alhambra 1.9Tdi which has 115bhp and an automatic gearbox.

I am happy to help you with all your questions. I am not a qualified mechanic but seem to be better at fixing my car than even the most experienced garages.

I have lots of friends here and very much enjoy talking with you all. Always remember, a motor car is a serious tool and should be treated with respect. Put your safety first, always.
