trying to sort out wires into back nearside door has been badly repaired in the past using choc blocks

have 2 wires come out of the repair
they are both green with a blue stripe
how can i tell which goes to which
and what are they for as everything seems to be working
have the haynes manual but none of the drawings in that mention this colour combination

When I did mine I don't remember having 2 wires the same colour maybe the last person to do it used some random wire to extend the existing?

Only way I can think to do it is remove door card and trace wire in to the door see if it is connected to other wires and then trace it to back of plug and link up to corresponding colours?

was expecting to have to do that  dont think they are replacement cable as they only just meet unless he/she was a right codge merchant

Very odd having 2 wires same colour even more odd is everything works?
Best bet have door card off see where they go to I reckon.

there are 2 the same coming out of the door pillar  as well so dont think it was a codge so it door card off time

To have 2 same colour I can only assume they go to a switch or something and then it wouldn't matter which way round they are connected, maybe something like switch for interior light? Cannot remember if the galaxy is like other vag stuff with small switch on latch for door open warning/interior light or if it's a remotely mounted plunger type?!

sorted it was central locking to that door  never normally use that door so it was always locked
