Plugs that connect to driver door lock.

I am trying to solve the locking problem I have with my car, ie it will not lock..... with neither key or remote.

Upon investigation I have found that the door handle/lock is broken, so wont lock with the key, and there has been a plug cut from the loom, a 3 pin plug, that goes to the top of the lock, so I assume that is why it wont lock with the remote.

So I now need to source a door handle and the missing plug......

A. Has anyone bought the door handles off a famous auction site?
B. Where will I get the missing plug from?

Thanks.

I have a unused new lock handle and key from eBay that looks man enough for the job. You could swap the lock tumbler over as the key is s different style if you wanted.

I also have a faulty door lock catch with the inside handle as a unit if you want loom and wire etc,

There is the option of once the locks work on remote to fit a pair of rear handles to the front doors and use remote locking or the boot if it fails also

Just reply on here if your interestedI wouldn't want much more than Ã,£10-15 to cover postage

Is the below multiplug what you're missing? I know it's hard to tell if you've not got the old one to compare it with but the cable colours and shape of the plug might be enough to identify it.

That's the missing multiplug, the cable colours match.

Thanks for the reply, I shall keep that in mind.

If it's missing/cut, I'd strip the wires and put in something like a terminal block with 4 connectors (3amp maybe?).
I did this with my stereo wires in the door for a temporary fix & works fine!

You've got a few options re. the missing connector- visit a breakers and chop one off (most of them in the scrappy will have damaged wiring in the door pillar rubber boot but as it's just that one connector that you need then it's no issue), or see if you can find a secondhand loom on [eBay] to chop it off of. The picture I posted earlier was from my old driver's door loom which I replaced with a new one, so if you get stuck for a modest fee I could probably chop it off of the loom and post it up to you.

Well a trip to the local scrappy, and hey presto, job sorted.....

Door handle, miltiplug Ã,£5, what more can you ask?

One hour later, central locking fully operational.

Thanks for the advice guys.
