Does anyone know how often the door LED Should be flashing on a locked 2003 galaxy 1.9tdi, please?

On my 2005 model, if you single lock the vehicle (i.e, without setting the alarm) then the LED doesn't start to flash until about 15 seconds after locking whereas if you lock it normally (setting the alarm) then it flashes immediately after locking. Once it's started flashing then it continues to flash (in a regularly spaced single flash-flash-flash pattern) at regular intervals with about a 1 second gap in between each flash.
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

Thanks. I had heard a similar alarm go off but couldn't get there for 10 mins. Thought has it been triggered? Seems it is normal, must have been another car! 😀
