car stereo codes

did some work done yesterday on car and now my stereo is asking for code. I thought I had it but I have now entered it wrong twice.
im sure I got it off this site nut cannoy find any info.
It is a5ooo streio.serail number MO12213
How many attempts do I get.

you should be able to find the code you require through searching google,as its a mk2 you will find lots of apps/programs out there to get the correct code.
or cross your fingers and someone on here might be able to pm you the details??

Managed to get code for radio.Added code ,radio came on for a few seconds and then wnet off and asked me to put code back in.Tried a few times now and the same thing happened.Now I add the code and nothing happens.(No notification it is wrong code)Any ideas before I buy cheepo on Amason.

imo,it must be the correct code your entering as afaik without it,it doesnt even come on?so maybe you need to make sure there isnt a power problem going on?
if the wiring is all ok,then maybe?the unit is fubared???

I put a cassette in unit(mp3 converter one) and put code in and it worked even played the cd player.As soon as I switched it to radio it went off and asked for the code again.
Ill check wiring again.
If no good ill pick up cheap radio,,will I need a converter kit as all the radio are smaller.Do I need cage or just front.
