Are the front and rear shocks and springs the same fitment in the Sharan as they are the Galaxy?
Both 1.9TDi's;
One is a ASZ 130 (VW), one is an AUY 115 (Ford).

I've a chance to buy a full set of fronts and rears at Ã,£40 that's basically as new.

If not, would anyone be interested?
A guy is breaking one and I can scrounge parts up for anyone?

Cheers!

I would say they are all the same,I don't think gal/sharan/bamma had any sports type suspension set ups?

There was 2 different types of spring used on the VW setup I think?
Only 10mm difference off hand, but it might not of been for the British cars.

I believe there was a lowered sports setup available, possibly fitted to some of the 2.8 V6's with factory fitted bodykits and 17" wheels? @Mirez might be able to confirm that one.......  ;)

A quick look at the parts diagrams shows a few choices of dampers and numerous different springs, though these are of course covering different engine and transmission variants- e.g, TDI, 2.8 VR6, 2.3 petrol, manual and auto transmissions:

Front suspension

Rear suspension
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

You could get the sports setup on both the TDI and 2.3 but no the V6, it lowers the car by 35mm. The V6 has a -15mm (iirc) drop as standard but you could spec that with 'comfort' suspension instead which basically set it up the same as the rest.

The 115 and 130 do use different springs but IMHO it's something VW went way to indepth over. The difference in weight between the two is so negligible that one spring would have sufficed for both. They are all interchangeable though so you can indeed install that setup onto your car.

I would never have thought the old gal could have lowered sport suspension,I assumed only difference would be between the petrol and diesel models.

Indeed, I have it on mine. Improves the looks no end but dosn't help the ride comfort! :)
