Seat Alhambra 2000 Facelift 1.8 20v Turbo

OK guys after much serching i picked up one of the above on a december 2012 reg. Problem is the previous owner took out the stereo. Now i have a double din or single din replacement but i need to know what the original wire colours are. Can anyone help?

2000 reg or 2012 reg??  2012 would be a mk3 so I'm assuming that's a typo?

Unfortunately though the wiring for the radio's is different between the Galaxy and Alhambra - that said, VW and SEAT have been using standard ISO connections for years so it should originally have been wired for up as such so I'm confused what's been chopped and why?

Thankfully after some pulling of the wiring that the previous owner had installed i found the original wiring tucked away so i just dropped in my Sony head unit and alls well!

Found another problem this morning in that the Temp gauge seems to be faulty. It goes up to about 75 degrees and the goes back down to 50.

Where are these pesky thing located?

Back of the engine, top right as seen from above. Bit of a pita to access and 4 types available which they can't check by vin

Just to add the connector on the sensor is colour coded make sure you get the same replacement.
