Can someone tell me what this symbol means

I keep getting this flash up on the speedo but dont know what it means or what i should do to correct the problem?

Does the owner's handbook give you any guidance or pointers? Does the car have adaptive cruise control or park assist? The symbol looks like it's relating to range in distance between you and the car in front and if I understand correctly with adaptive cruise control you can set a minimum distance between you and the car in front, perhaps you've passed within that minimum distance with the system switched off or it's indicating an error with the distance/ range sensor or something like that?

You also need to make sure the sensors are clear of snow as I found out on my truck a few weeks ago.

Thats the indication you are following too closely to the car in front.

If its coming on frequently then you need to reassess what you think is a safe following distance!!
