Hi folks I have been reading the various posts on parking sensors but none quite address my problem. I have a 2.3 petrol 2002 model and the parking sensors are completely dead, no light on the switch and no sound at all when you press the switch on the dash. Any suggestions?

The control unit is under the front passenger seat, check for evidence of wet carpet and sound insulation there as you may have suffered the rear washer pipe disconnecting and emptying the contents of the washer bottle into the footwell, water then seeps into the control unit knackering it.

Are the plugs connected on control unit and have you checked the fuse?
