Hi fellas, merry christmas and all that jazz.

I've long had a crack on my drivers side wing mirror indicator which has now finally broken further and now the indicator isn't working. MoT due midway through Feb so I need to get it replaced, any ideas how it comes apart?

Should clarify this is the missues 2006 2.0 TDI not mine :)

Its held in by 2 screwss. Remove the cover, then the glass and you can then get to the back of the indicator and undo the screws.

If you look at the replacement indicator, you'll see the tabs sticking up:

From the front (non glass side) of the mirror, look into the gap between indicator and cap and you'll see (you may need to apply upward pressure) two slots where these tabs begin. You need to slide something in here to depess the tabs (I use dining knifes wrapped with masking tape) and then lift the cap up and backwards towards the glass.
