Hi boys, hope you are all excellent   :P

Whilst parked on the road outside our local swimming pool some (Beep!) has taken my wing mirror clean off so I am left with just the long bit on the door and a few wires hanging out the end  :'(
God knows how fast they were going coz I didnt even find the gubbins but anyway how easy is it for me to change the mirror myself? I've got a new mirror coming from @Mirez broken sharan which is also blue so think I just need to bolt it on but not quite sure how lol. I popped off the caps and can see some weird looking nuts but what else and also do i need to code anything?
Is there a how-to or anything about?
No I do not have kids. I need a people carrier for all my shoes! :)

I don't think they're too bad to change, just two bolts hidden by circular black caps on the inside of the door, plus the electrical connector tucked down inside the door trim- hopefully this can be accessed without removing the trim but I'm not 100% on that.

Just as a side note, does your Alhambra have folding mirrors or side repeaters in the housing? I ask only because the early Sharan that Mark is breaking won't (I think) have those things so it won't be a like for like replacement.
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

As above 2 bolts, can't remember 100% but think the wiring could be unplugged without removing door trim when I had mine off?

Hey Caitlin, I didnt realise you were putting it on an 07. As Paul says it won't work, you'll need an 04 onwards to retain the side indicator. Fortunately I have one of those so I'll switch the mirror over in the morning before they collect (PM Sent - please reply ASAP!)

All other info is correct except you WILl need to pop the door card off to get to the wiring connector - the bolts are torx T27 IIRC.
