2011 s-max 2.0 ecoboost fuel filter?

Hi, Wanting to give my Daughters s-max 2011 2.0 eco boost 230ps a good service so enquired at local ford dealership about service parts, and they say that there is NO fuel filter?
is this correct? seems very odd to me any body know different

I believe it has got one but it's a non serviceable 'lifetime' filter... not heard of that before either.

I have heard of it before on a petrol engine (Renault Megane) not heard of a lifetime filter on a diesel though.
No doubt it will need changing at some point in its life just like the filled for life gearbox's need an oil change

It replaces (well encapsulates) the strainer on the end of the intank fuel pump. They look a bit like the filter in the bottom of a dishwasher and the idea is that any crap sticks to the outside surface and then drops back off when the engine is off or is washed off by diesel as the fuel sloshes about in the tank.
In theory the design is good, the tank itself as a deep groove designed for sediment to sit in so there should be less to get stuck to the filter.
Supposedly, the filter surface area is large enough to accommodate a heavily contaminated tank without issue but I guess time will tell! Some of the American F150 pickups have had them for the last 5 years or so with some fairly heafty mileages and I havnt seen anything about filters being clogged.

Hi Guys, I think maybe mislead you with this one! its not my car Galaxy 2.2 diesel, its my daughters S-Max 2.0 Ecoboost Petrol! with no fuel filter that I'm asking you guys about, sorry for the confusion Dave

Hi Dave, sorry that was me not reading it properly. From the info I have all the ecoboost engines, whether petrol or diesel, have the intank filter that is "for life"

Hi Mark, Thank you for that info! clears things up a lot at least now I do not need to be searching all under the car for a filter that's not there,
