Afternoon all,
Hope you can help, finished work the other night and some thieving s*** has had away what I thought was just the glass In my passengers side wing mirror. Ordered new glass and would now appear that there should possibly be a mount and a motor within the assembly.
Can anyone confirm this or point me in the direction as to where is get one from

Many thanks
James

Haven't used them, but are much much less than Fords. Will even supply painted.
(p.s. I do not work for them, they just look good on price).

Cheers for the quick reply,
I ordered the glass ftim this company and it arrived today, it however still won't clip in as I am missing some kind of attachment that connects the glass to the mirror.

Some people are proper scum, who would do that???  :(
I once had all three windscreen wipers stolen from my Focus... still that was my fault for parking overnight in Birmingham lol ;)

Are they electric or manual mirrors? If electric did they at least unplug the connector and not just chop it off? If the connectors still there then you just need the motor -ring assembly. The glass clips to that but tbh they are really expensive from a dealer and whilst cheaper on ebay, you'll need to make sure you get the screws as well. You'll probably find out that buying a second hand mirror as an assembly will be cheaper :(

That would be why they bloody stole it then if there expensive. My mirrors are electric heated ones all the wires were unclipped and tucked out of the way. Guessing I Would need the assembly then as the 3 screws have been taken too. Will head onto eBay and look or even a trip down to the breakers as its a real pain not having it and still check the mirror even though I know its not there

Cheers guys for the input

Just an update, down to the breakers yard earlier and removed the motor ring from a mark 1 galaxy, very easy removal and re-fit just the 3 screws and the connectors. Motor ring was taken from drivers side and fitted into passengers side so if anyone else has this prob they are interchangeable.

Cheers for the help all

Worth knowing the Mk1 and Mk2 are interchangeable! They are listed as different part numbers so that's good, do you know what year car it came from?

Sorry, only just realised I hadn't answered a question.
I believe it was a w reg galaxy. Had a look at the ring assembalies in vw golfs and passats and found they are visually near enough the same as the one from my galaxy so could be worth bearing that in mind, also if your struggling for the 3 retaining screws the above mentioned cars have the same setup so you can take them from there.
Hope this helps someone

Regards
James
