Hello,

I live in Aylesbury (Buckinghamshire),  and now having a failure of the linkage to the both front windscreen wipers.  I am now looking for a recommendation within 50 miles radius, of a independent ford mechanic to supply a quote for replacement parts and repair.

As I am 80 years old, I am unable to do this repair myself.  All reply's appreciated,  and looking forward to anyone who can help me.

Greetings!

The cost of buying a new linkage mechanism from Ford is likely to be prohibitive to be honest, unless you don't mind spending Ã,£300+ on parts alone. The most economic repair assuming your linkage is defective/ seized (a common problem) and isn't salvageable would be to pick up a working secondhand linkage from a scrapyard or through ebay and strip/ grease it before installing it.

I'm sorry, I can't help with recommendations of who could source a secondhand linkage for you or carry out the work in your part of the world.
