has anyone got a fully licenced copy of vcds in the midlands, mine is the free version and showing the steering angle sensor needs resetting with the corresponding yellow light on dash for the anti skid, guessing light on as it needs to know what position things in to counteract any possible skidding, car had to have both inner and outer control arms replacing due to play in them, kids go in car so no risks being taken, I have tried to reset a couple of times but after the sign in part it pops up full licence needed to continue, phoned a couple of garages and its a case of we can try with our software but nothing certain, ford want 56 quid just to plug in for half hour now if I go there I may as well take vaseline with me ready for the list of not needed items to hike up the bill,  current sensor is working and shows as 13 degrees off centre when driving straight, any help greatly appreciated

Are there any vw specialists by you? They will have full vcds and will calibrate angle sensor for fraction of cost of ford

If you do find someone with full copy there is a guide in ref library on the procedure to reset it.

been to the one by me, funny as hes using the freeware version too, his answer was they sort themselves out over time

If there is anyone in Liverpool be much appreciated as well if not as suggested will try a vag specialist

I was told that about my e46 bmw, utter nonsense it needs to be set back to zero of it will be constantly sending signal back to control unit wheels not inline. Can't believe a specialist only had free version!!
Where in Midlands are you as I get to brum a fair bit although not going for a few weeks so would be a while to wait.

I am in Nuneaton, but I work silly hours so can never guarantee being around, off this week so getting jobs done, and agree a specialist who doesn't know a from b says it all

I am aware of them 2 thankyou as was searching myself, will contact them tomorrow for prices, always a better option to cross a fellow forum users palm with silver then to fill the pockets of a profit making group

Your not wrong there but sometimes needs must and all that, never know now people who work normal hours (unlike me) are home you might get someone in the mids reply.

cheers for all your help, much appreciated
