Hi everyone,

Sorry I've not been on lately.  Lots of things going on, so haven't had much time.

Quick questions:-

1. Can VCDS-LITE control what instruments and appliances come on/off?

2. For example, first thing in morning, I turn the ignition key and the cold heater switches on and I want this to be off until I manually turn it on myself...Is this possible?

I am fairly sure the climate panel can be set to come on at what you want.
I can't remember exactly how it's done something like putting it to whatever setting you want it to turn on at and then hold a button in to store the setting. Possibly the auto button.
Have you tried a Google?

I did try google mate, but I couldn't manage to find anything at all.

I can't for life of me remember how it was done I just remember on my old b5.5 Passat setting my desired setting on panel and storing so always switched on the same.

It should remember the last setting anyway so could try and remember to turn off when finished with car for day so stays off when starting car next morning.

Had a search through my saved links but couldn't find the one about setting switch on setting.

But did find this one to access hidden menu if anyone interested in this kind of thing?

Thanks mate.  I've already tried to switch it off just before I turn the engine off, but it still doesn't save any settings.

That's strange as mine remembers last setting,I know this as Mrs usually turns it off so is off when I get in it after her

 ???

Are you sure I can't control any settings via VCDS???

Might be able to do some settings on vcds in adaptions I doubt the lite version will be able to do much more than read/erase codes.
