If like me you have a car built with sat nav and the vhs then there is no CD player, originally I got rid of the nav for vw head unit and 6 disk single din changer in dash.
I decided I wanted to have the nav back so explored where I could put the changer,I thought with some adaptions I could put in the large top glovebox.

Over weekend I set about removing top glovebox and positioning the changer to see if it was possible and with a bit of the foam scut away from top dash section and the lip trimmed it fitted in quite nicely.
I then had to trim the glovebox to suit and also the lid needed a section cutting out as it fouled the changer when closing.
Wiring from cd was cut and extended then ran across dash under the nearside vent ducting and then clipped to main loom behind glovebox then up to rear of mfd unit.

Works perfect and does not look massively out of place in the dash, got a bit of tidying up to do inside top glove box still but that can wait until next weekend.
