my car will start and stop almost immediately could this be a fault with the electric fuel pump

Could be many different causes like leak in system drawing in air,can you hear the tank pump prime when turning ignition on?
You need to get codes read first.
I would also suggest clamping the feed and return pipes at tandem pump after switching engine off,if it starts up no probs next day probes tandem pump and injectors are ok and not losing prime.
The thermostat T piece on top of fuel filter can cause problems also.

Hello linda and  [W4]
Have you dropped/opened the key fob recently? you may have lost the transponder chip which controls the immobiliser.
Try your spare key to start with.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

Sorry should just add if fault code scan does not show anything up and you try clamping hoses only give it a quick start and remove once confirmed it either starts ok or doesn't.
