My Gal has a very leaky rack!
(No funny comments!)

Can anyone give me any helpful pointers before I start stripping the old one out and replacing?

I'm intending to overhaul most of the front end at the same time (wishbone bushes, ball joints etc)

This is a great for by the way! Fantastic source of advice!

Hello and  welcome5
Hi!
Fantastic forum, one of the most informative I've seen.

I'm hoping to resurrect my crippled aging Galaxy / money pit with help from here.

Howdy! A little bit of discussion on rack replacement here, I'm not sure if it's absolutely necessary to drop the front subframe in order to replace the rack but it'd probably make access a lot easier if you did.
Always learning..... Often by mistakes!

I'll check it out!
Many thanks+
