Hi first ever post on the internet so here goes.

My 2002 Galaxy TDI began missing yesterday feels like an injector/fuel starvation issue but im not 100%, ive Diesel coming out of the pump in the tank but there seems to be less preasure going into the filter, does the fuel supply go direct from the tank to the filter?

Yes goes from in tank pump to filter to tandem pump then through head to injectors.

Couple of possible causes that are very common, worn camshaft lobes or injector harness. Get a fault code scan and have measuring blocks checked for injector smooth running values.

misfire or hesitation? my car had hesitation couple of months ago, almost like misfire, i had the egr sorted and its fine now,try to blank egr and see how it goes,

Vag showed missfire No1 cylinder but the injector was fine so i replaced the small wireing loom inside the head and heypresto problem sorted.

Did you have a check of cam lobes while in there?
