2.3 engine number

Hi there people...
My 1st post on the Galaxy site.
I would like to find the engine number on my 2.3 petrol engine.
Can it be seen with one of those plexable camera thingies? if so where do I look?

A belated response but...........



The old Ford databook shows the engine code for the 2.3 petrol on the Mk2 Galaxy as being stamped on the front of the engine block next to the gearbox bell housing as highlighted below........
