Smax wing mirror

Hi, Ive recently acquired an s max (2009 2.2 titamium)  and unfortunately lost the cover of the n/s wing mirror. This has been replaced but the complete unit is now loose. Is there any way to tighten it or is it a whole new housing? I've been told that its not a serviceable part and I'd have to buy the whole unit.(rather expensive option)

Thanks, but I can't see the bit I need. It's loose on the joint where it folds back/ pivots. Going to remove the whole assembly later today if the rain holds off!
