Soaking passenger footwell sorted

Eventually tracked down the cause, after checking the drains under the scuttle were clear.

It seems that water was running down the drains and down the inside of the wheelarch, where it found a joint between the arch and the floor where the black sealant had failed. I found this after lifting the carpet and removing the sodden insulation mat. I then cleaned out the joint and used plenty of silicone to seal it up.y

Hopefully rid of the this'll sort the condensation/ice on the windscreen of a morning!

Great,  I must try this myself as ours is soaking too..

PS. where is that photo taken?

its the passenger footwell with carpet and insulation removed (had to cut the latter out). The black stuff is on the back of the wheelarch and you can see the track of the water across the floor coming from the joint between the floor and wheelarch.

hope this helps

Yeah, great.. Mine indeed was leaking from the same place.. I pulled everything back and hosed the car from the outside and watched the water running in.. all sealed and dry now..
