alhambra 98 1.9tdi glowplug light flashing

hi

im after a solution to this problem,gp light goes on then off when ignition is turned on,after 30 seconds it starts flashing so i scaned ecu with vag-com and got error 01268 quantity adjuster 18-10 so i replaced the injector pump but still get the same code,brake lights all work fine,this problem seems to be common but no one ever seems to finish the solution so could some one please help before i scrap the car as its driving me up the wall,i can clear code as it comes straight back?

I don't have a lot of experience with the AHU engine but I remember this fault code being caused by the relief valve (within the pump) being stuck open/closed. You can normally unscrew the valve and clean it out/batter it with a hammer to get it moving again.

Am guessing here it sounds like you have fitted a secondhand pump that has the same problem as your original unit?
