I have a cracker in my windscreen so need to replace
I have insurance with excess
Thing is I can either use auto windscreens or go to who ever I want was thinking of going to ford as the difference in my excess is only Ã,£25
Reason being I heard that sometimes the heated screen doesn't work if you don't get an original ford one
Anybody have experience of any issues or where best to go cheers

I don't believe there are any issues with the replacement screens, it's how they are handled and installed that causes the problems. The heating wires are extremely fragile so if the glass is allowed to twist or bend (as much as glass will without breaking!) then they get damaged.
