It's good bye from me....

Well the time has come....after approaching 11 years of ownership of my 2005 Galaxy 115 TDI 6-speed (bought new) I'm downsizing to a smaller estate car now the family has grown up and we very rarely need more than 5 seats.

I've had very little trouble with mine and at just over 100,000 miles it's still got plenty of life left so hopefully it will find a good home. I'm part exchanging this Saturday coming so no idea where it'll end up.

The only significant issues I've had other than servicing / battery / brakes are :
CV gaiters (several times)
Suspension top mounts
Exhaust was replaced a couple of years ago.
Electric Window switch for the drivers door has been replaced
Brake pedal switch
Heater fan resistor
Wiper linkage was stripped down and rebuilt
The aux heater packed up after about 5 years but never bothered to fix it.

Other than that not had any other serious issues so pretty happy overall - its had a busy life transporting 3 kids and various dogs around and it's been all over the UK as well as to France, Belgium and Holland

This forum has been a great source of information especially in the last few years when I've had to get my hands dirty - hopefully people have benefitted from my posts too.

I'll still probably drop in to see what's happening and might have a few bits and bobs for sale (cargo load cover / tonneau thing which has hardly been used, also a genuine Ford bike rack and a few other bits) which I'll post up when I get a moment.
