Data Sticker location

Hi,

I'm trying to get the paint code for my new Sharan. I know most cars have a data sticker in the spare whell well, but as the sharan hasn't got one does anyone know where it is located.  I don't have the service record so it's not an option.

BTW, it's a cool metallic grey in a 2006 130bhp SE

Do you mean the VIN plate or something else?

No the data sticker.. it shows, engine, gearbox, paint code and options from the factory.. like this..



It's normally in the service book and spare well wheel, but as the Sharan hasn't got a wheel well, I don't know where it is.

I think it is located under the scuttle panel on drivers side near the top of suspension strut.
