Changing gear box oil, Mk3 Galaxy, 2.0L Duratec-HE PFI (145PS), 5-Speed Manual Trans - MTX75
Above information from http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do

Gear oil from http://www.eurocarparts.com/ Semi synthetic gear oil, Triple QX, 75W-90,
2*1 litre (as recommended by Euro Car Parts shop)
Remove 8mm gearbox sump plug, I used Laser sump key (Laser 3175 14Pc Drain Sump Plug Key Set) I got it from ebay.
I also used transfer pump (Streetwize SWSP Multi Purpose Syphon Pump)
I got mine from Amazon to pump the oil back in.  It took all of the 2 litres, but then seemed full, I.e. seeping back out through the fill hole.
I had to remove the back engine mounting bracket to access my gearbox sump plug, but only because the key I had needed a 3/8ââ,¬Â drive ââ,¬â€œ so I had to use an adapter because my toolset is Ã,½ââ,¬Â drive.  The fill plug is the same size as the sump plug, and the fill plug is on the front of the gearbox. i.e. if you look at the gearbox with the front bumper behind your head, near to the front left headlamp, youââ,¬â,,¢ll see itââ,¬Â¦
It looks like the photo in the attachment...
