Got front strut done and rubbers replace but car still seems low how do I test struts are working could tyres make a difference as I changed front from 215/16 to 205/16

Struts control the bounce of the springs ,better term for them is dampers, they damp the springs bounce,thats why you can compress a strut by hand but not a spring
Springs set ride height
205 will have a slightly lower sidewall against 215. The second number in for example 215/65 is the sidewall height as a percentage of tread width.
