HELP..!!
I have broken the oil filter cap on my 2008 2.0 Galaxy tdci Ghia, it was on so tight I tried to undo it with a 27mm socket, I heard a crack and saw oil seeping out the top of it, as you can imagine my issues are: where can I get a new one today? how am I now going to get the old one off, I cannot drive it so cannot get it to a garage.
Many thanks in advance
Den

You'll struggle to get one from a factors I think, neither GSF or Euro list 'em. If you need it now your only hope is a local Ford dealer but most of their parts departments will be shut on a Saturday afternoon (if our local one is anything to go by). I would think there's a good chance a decent sized dealer would carry it in stock, Ford part number if the parts diagrams are to be believed is 1303477 (item 6A832). As for getting the old one off, you'll either have to resort to a chisel or if you can get a strap type wrench round the circumference of the cap that might do it.

Thanks Paul, I couldn't find one on the ford sites, I tried calling my local ford but got no answer, I found one on ebay 'Neat Car Parts' they're called, for Ã,£12.50 best they can do is delivery Tuesday. As for the old one, I got some pretty hefty grips round it but it would not budge, I couldn't believe it, a bit of plastic, I ended up chiseling it out with a screwdriver as you said, that took some doing as well. Now I wait till Tuesday with no car, oh well..!!
Thanks mate

Ford parts Uk have got 'em but you still won't get it before Tuesday if you mail order it. At least you got the old one off! It is a worry with those plastic filter caps, some people wind 'em back on so tight when refitting when there's no need, it's the O-ring that forms the seal, not the amount of torque you apply to the cap! It's only meant to be about 20-25nm (usually says on the cap as well).
