Hi guys!

Need some help please. The engine's insulation foam on my GAL has desintegrated, and now the noise that is making is a little bit annoying, so I would like to buy a new one.

I have the part number, is the number 4 on this picture, but the thing is, with that part number, I cannot find it anywere!

Where can I find this part ?
   4   1128606   Insulator

Thanks in advance

You won't want to bother buying it when you find out how much it actually costs, take a read here. Cheaper from VW for the same part but that ain't saying much!  LOL

I dont want the engine cover, but the foam insulation that goes arround the headgasket cover, to muffle the engine noise a little bit more :)

Have you tried breakers for one? I would hazard a guess and say all 1.9pd have same sound proofing/insulation regardless of which VAG/ford vehicle they are fitted to

The trouble with trying to find a used one is a) I reckon many of them were 'lost' by technicians (a.k.a removed and not refitted) over the lifetime of the vehicle and b) the foam tears easily with careless handling or eventually degrades and 'crumbles' / turns to dust with time so trying to find a good used one will be a challenge!
