Hi there just joined up after finding the forum searching for some info. Ice got a mk2 Galaxy 04 plate 1.9tdi auto. Pulled up to my mates today as I had a problem with my brake light switch (heater light on) whilst we we're sorting this out I had the car running for about 45mins. When I moved the car we noticed a large pool of atf under the car. Managed to get under the car and eventually get the under tray off and it seems to be seeping from what I believe is a gearbox breather? (Under the battery tray. Cleaned it all down and left it running and seemed to stop leaking. So we drained the oil out and are awaiting more fluid in the mornin. I hair wondered if anyone could shed any light onto what could possibly cause oil to seep out of the top breather, if it is a breather! Sorry for the long winded post!

Have you had the vehicle a while or only bought it recently? If you've had it a while, have you ever noticed oil on the floor underneath before? Any work been carried out on the vehicle recently? It might help identify the source if you can post a picture of which hose the fluid was leaking out of?
