Hi Fellow MPV owners

Help is required with this common problem. The wipers are running extremely slowly. Will not be much use when the rain comes down. Previously the spindles have been removed and re-greased. Worked fine for about two years but the problem has occurred again.

The vehicle has only done 53K miles.

Can anyone suggest where to buy a completely  new wiper motor assembly and what one could expect to pay? Also peoples experience with second hand units.

Regards

Hitesh

I rebuilt mine last year (also a 2005 model although with 90k miles)

It is relatively easy to strip down as long as you are patient.

However, be sure to replace the O rings as it is these wearing out that causes the water to ingress into the spindles. I used CV joint grease to lubricate mine. With the motor removed the whole linkage should be very easy to move by hand if it is all running smoothly.

I might even have some spare O rings, will have a look to see if I can find them - PM me if you need any more help
