asda oil

i see asda have a range of new oils i understand the spec for the 1.9 tdi pd engine is 505.1
the new range states vw and Porsche apporoved for 504 507
does this mean that this covers the 505.1 spec or still need other oil

I'm assuming the specs you mention (504 and 507) are 504.00 and 507.00? 504.00 would appear to be a specification for Petrol engines whilst 507.00 is a Diesel oil spec which appears to be a longlife oil suitable for use on vehicles fitted with DPF's, but is also fine as an alternative to a 505.01 spec oil.

Good thing is they are 5 ltr
