Can I put a glx dti 1.9 1997 engine into a zetec dti 1.9 2001

Not saying it's impossible but there will be electrical issues as well as just swapping the engine and gearbox.

A 1997 engine wont be a PD so I'd think the injector loom and control (ie ECU) would be significantly different. As said, would probably physically fit but probably cheaper and easier in the long run just to get the correct engine.
