brake pad warning light

hi all
had the brake pad warning come on     i had this last year and the front pads were very low  got them swopped      its on again now after only 300 miles   so am wondering if it also shows for wear on the rear pads ? or if its for front only     thanks    ,

Correct, fronts and rears although its also not uncommon for a dodgy connection to cause it
