water in boot 👢 catch

Have noticed water lying in boot catch can anyone help but noticed  on boot lock on front of boot at the top someone has tryed lock and metal party has been prized away and there is a hole could water be getting in when raining

Do you mean the boot latch release handle at the bottom of the tailgate has been levered away from the tailgate itself? If so then yes it would allow water into the tailgate, there is a foam gasket around the handle which forms a seal when the handle is fitted to the tailgate.
