Sensors not working on galaxy

Read notes on faults

I found using my hearing aid on the sensors
I could hear the click/click ultrasonic sound in all but rear offside unit. I presume that is the fault.

What should I do next to fix it??

The tick test is a general indication only but a good starting point none the less. Buy a replacement (cheapest on ebay) and swap it out.
03 Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI 115 Ghia in Spruce Green Metallic
With cream leather interior, Full Bodykit, Remapped at 145bhp, Lowered on 18's
17 Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 Diesel in Slate Blue
262Bhp AWD and Factory fresh...for now!
58 Ford Transit 2.2 TDI 115 in Frozen White
With retrofitted everything except another slidey door! :)
LAUNCH X431 Pad PRO - Scanning & Coding for all makes and models done in Wiltshire in exchange for winegums! :)

Personally, I'd :-
(i) Disconnect and inspect wiring to sensor and contacts for corrosion.  Fix anything then reconnect and check again.
(ii) Swap it with one of the other sensors and see if:-
     (a) The sensor ticks in the "new" location.           - Probably faulty wiring
     (b) The sensor in the "faulty" location ticks.         - Probably faulty wiring
     (c) The sensor doesn't tick in the "new" location - Probably faulty sensor

I seem to recall reading you need the correct sensor (all the same on a car?).  Don't know if this is between Alhambra, Sharan and Galaxy.  Galaxy's may all be the same.

Forgot to say, if you have a laptop and are comfortable with using it, it's much easier if you get a VAG-COM lead from ebay (<Ã,£10) and download the free VAG-COM of VCDS-lite software from the ROSS-TECH site as that shows any detected faults and the distances each of the sensors is reporting.
If you intend to keep the Galaxy for any length of tme then it is well worth doing this anyway as it can diagnose lots of other problems too.

Thanks for that info.
Do I want to know all the other faults
I ask myself?

seriously though is the Ã,£10 cable
VCDSlite 006?
I am interested in trying it out
even though I am a silver surfer
do you have a link for this
please

If you look in the Reference Section of this site you will see mention of it's use.  If you search for "VAG COM" on ebay you will see plenty of leads. I got one like this from ebay --> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAG-OBD2-OBDII-409-1-KKL-USB-AUDI-VW-Skoda-Car-Diagnostic-Cable-Interface-UK-/261007454087?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3cc541af87 and you can download the free version of the software from the manufacturers web site (link at the bottom of this page --> http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds-lite/download/index.html)

Have a look round the site and it will help interpret fault codes that the software lists, though it's geared at VW's in the US a lot of information is relevant, with the MKI and MKII Galaxy's being built by VW and using VW
engines in the diesels. The free version doesn't show everything, but it's enough for most peoples needs, including mine for now.  You can (should) also clear the "Fault Codes" after first saving them.  You can then check again a few days later as some may be for faults that have already been cleared.

have not got cable yet.

however got friendly mech

to do a readout

sensor for parking LR-g203    faulty

sensor for parking LRCtr-G204 faulty

both permanent

got him to clear engine codes

so next readout should show current problems.
