Steering Bush

I am trying to get hold of the nylon bush that takes up the slack on the steering column, I have been to local Ford and Seat dealers and they say that it only comes as part of the whole steering unit and priced about 500 euros.

I'm afraid that does seem to be the case, both the Ford and VW parts diagrams say pretty much the same thing, is it number 16 on the VW diagram you want?
