As a follow up on fuel temp sensor
Removed it and cleaned noting its part number 269416
quick ebay check ,only one was used Ã,£12.99 and"checked fully working" yeah right!
Google part no and thread came up with same part number on a passat forum. Very informative , told me of a tale of woe with dealers insisting it has 4 terminals whereas mine and the passat guy had two
One of the replies had GSF listing replacement part no 929vgo220
Checked GSF ,yup Ã,£6.93 plus vat, interestingly gsf website also state 4 terminals for my car and that the 2 terminal wont fit.
So i bought the 2 terminal one, in it goes lovely jubbly
Search for local gsf and get online offer of a further 15% off as new customer ,oh go on then ,ill have a filter service kit as well

Now for anyone that has lost the little spring clip on the top of the fuel filter( they do ping off down the back of the engine really easily)
Ford want Ã,£4.58!!!!! Local VW dealer Ã,£1.74
