hello, is it possible to completely dismantle,clean, and rebuild the double window switch, or is it bin it
and move on job?BH

They do come apart but fiddly beware bits flying out.

As above, you can take them apart fairly easily but there is a spring and ball bearing that needs to go back afterwards (not hard just fiddly!)

Many thanks for that, I have already stripped it, and found that the contacts are made of Haribo mix,
and the graphitey material that makes the contact had worn off three of the contacts,I sawed the tops off some  aa batteries,and glued them into place, it worked on the pre assembly test, but once assembled
quickly resumed the " go buy a new switch mode",
