Ok a nice simple one

Is there a correct postition for the rear washer jet for maximuim cleaning? Been messing around for ages and only seems to get half the rear screen washed

Being that the jet is fixed within the wiper arm spindle and doesn't rotate with the wiper arm it's usually just set pointing vertically upwards- or do you mean whereabouts on the screen (top middle or bottom- just like Strike it lucky  ) is it best to target the jet to get best cleaning? To be honest I'd be chuffed just if my damn rear wiper blade would clear it's swept area properly, I changed the blade but it didn't make much difference, I think either the spring on the arm has weakened or the arm pivot is worn!

In that case I'd say higher is better as the water will only run downwards, too low and the topmost part of the blade/screen won't be properly wetted.

Think you'll find it virtually impossible to hit the top of the screen due to the curve of the screen any higher than the middle and the spray just hits the top of the door.
