The display flashing for a few seconds after starting engine means a fault code has been stored under HVAC, low gas pressure is usually the cause.
Have your aircon checked by a reputable aircon specialist, they will vacuum the system check the system for leaks then if in order regas the system  using the correct amount of gas and oil.
