Hi folks . Just wandered if it is possible to repare faulty fuel sender ( wrong readings on dash ) ?

Thanks :)

If it's a break in the coil I would say no, does it read wrong all the time as they do tend to read wrong when facing downhill.

With VCDS lite (full version) need a code clearing or want to scan for faults in the north kent area, PM me. All for a pint of Strongbow.

It is going up and down when it wants . It has mind of its own  :) Sometimes in traffic jam on level ground it moves .

Sometimes the 'card' which contains the float arm and sliding contact for the gauge (which clips into the sender unit) is at fault, depending on the availability of the part it is at least listed as a separate item, number 25 here. Don't trust the part numbers quoted as gospel though, quite often they get superseded or discontinued.

Other than that it could be the actual gauge in the dial cluster at fault.
