Help with oil

Hi can someone help me out I see ford have been servicing my ford galaxy before I got it and the oil is shell 5w30 my galaxy is a 2.0 TDCI 140 BHP is this the best oil to use many thanks

Most (i.e, nearly all with a few exceptions) current Ford models including the Mk3 Galaxy use the Ford Formula-F synthetic 5/30 oil, I'm not sure who makes it for Ford in the first place but if you use that then you shouldn't have any problems- there's a little more on it here. In any event 5/30 is the correct grade of oil, synthetic is best, if you're still unsure just check it meets the Ford spec mentioned in the link.
