I made a fleabay purchase of front discs & pads for my 2003 TDI.

My existing disks are 300mm diameter, the new ones are 288mm!

Are the disks or pads interchangeable or do I need to put both back on fleabay?

They were apparently for 1996 to 2005 models! I assume only 15 inch wheel models?

Thanks,

Peter

As I understand it, for the most part the 288mm discs were fitted to earlier Galaxies throughout the range and later ones with 15" wheels. 300mm discs were fitted to Galaxies with 16" wheels. I'm sure any V6 variants and the more powerful TDI's got the 300mm setup, but the upshot is, to my knowledge, you can't substitute 300mm discs for 288mm ones and vice versa as the caliper brackets etc are different- there was some comment on it here.
