service reminder is also driving me mental

so i bought the car a few months ago and the service was done prior to me purchasing the vehicle, this is fantastic i thought, well it would be if i didn't keep getting the bloody 'service now' reminder.

please for the love of god, how do i get this reset? i have VCDS lite if that is any help

You can do it with or without VCDS, I thought it would have been in the library but although I had a look around and couldn't find it, might be just me though. I had to go next door and steal the method from there 

I've used this method before successfully:

Turn ignition off and hold mileage reset button
Holding reset button in turn ignition on
After about a few seconds the display should reset itself
Release reset button and turn ignition off

You can also do it within VCDS, having changed my oil a couple of months ago I still haven't got round to doing mine, if I manage to get the lappy out later I'l post up the VCDS method.
